We give baseball and softball umpires around the world gear, clothing, education and training. Our focus is in areas and countries where equipment is scarce, have been impacted by a disaster or political conflict and/or are new to baseball and/or softball.
Our Mission
We seek to give both new and current baseball and softball umpires around the world a chance to have access to quality umpire equipment, clothing, education and training - especially where baseball and softball are not primary sports, or are brand new to the game.
Since 2016, we’ve worked with dozens of people and leagues around the world to provide them umpire equipment, clothing and shoes most recently delivering three full large equipment bags to Ado Ekiti State, Nigeria as well as a full set of gear and shoes to an umpire who recently moved to Phoenix, AZ USA and had all of his equipment stolen. UWB was able to mobilize full sets of gear as well as key clothing and accessories within days of request.

Starting in late 2016, UWB has been serving the needs of worldwide umpires on a first come-first served and as-needed basis
Equipment received has been distributed to multiple leagues enabling dozens of umpires to join our ranks!
UWB collects and distributes serviceable baseball and softball umpire gear to umpires-in-need around the world. In addition, UWB collects and distributes umpire clothing, shoes and accessories as well as provides written educational materials, on-site and remote training.

Using both remote and on-site techniques, UWB provides comprehensive umpire training including mechanics, positioning, multiple-umpire crews and game management training aligned with current professional standards as taught by professional umpire schools. Our goal is to excite and encourage potential future students to attend professional umpire clinics and enroll in professional umpire schools as they continue to fulfill their passion.
UWB provides basic, fundamental program-agnostic, professionally aligned umpire training materials to leagues around the world in order to help them align to modern standards and jump-start skills that can be used anywhere and everywhere they go.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need your gear, shoes and clothing and we also need your personal and financial support. Shipping gear to faraway places can get very expensive, even if we are able to secure a portion of a pallet on a ship container - the costs can be hundreds if not thousands of dollars! Working with leagues and people around the world often means being on social media and instant messaging systems at all hours of the day/night. If you want to get involved, we’ll find a way to use you!
